The “Bodak Yellow” star revealed her pregnancy on the same day it was reported that she had filed for divorce from her husband, who was a member of the rap group Migos. She shared the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude for this new chapter in her life. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you. You have brought me more love, more life, and most of all, renewed my power! You reminded me that I can have it all and never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!” she wrote.
In her post, she continued: “I love you so much and cannot wait for you to see what you helped me accomplish and what you pushed me to do! Life’s twists, turns, and tests are easier to navigate when lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth pushing through!”
A representative for Cardi B, the 31-year-old “WAP” rapper, confirmed on Thursday that she has filed for divorce from her husband of seven years. The news was initially reported by Page Six.
Cardi B and Offset have had a tumultuous relationship since their marriage in 2017, with several breakups and reconciliations. In a December Instagram Live session, Cardi B announced that she and Offset had split, stating she had been “single for a minute now.” Her comments seemed to address rumors of Offset’s infidelity, which he denied. “I just don’t know how to tell the world,” Cardi B shared during the live session. “But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now.”

Cardi B had previously filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020. At the time, she assured fans on Instagram, “I’m OK.
